Laura’s approach to therapy goes beyond traditional methods. She collaborates closely with parents to provide strategies that support the child’s ongoing speech and language growth. Her expertise extends to areas often challenging to find in speech therapy, such as oral-motor development to address issues like excessive drooling, speech clarity, tongue thrust, and speech coordination. She also specializes in working with late talkers, early language development, and children with gestalt language processing or echolalia.

Recognizing that every child’s communication journey is unique, Laura emphasizes the importance of connection and self-regulation as essential components for communication. She integrates speech and language goals with sensory, movement, and play activities to foster a holistic, "whole-child" approach. Laura collaborates with occupational and physical therapists, and she views parents as essential partners in their child’s progress.

Throughout her clinical career, Laura has worked across diverse settings, including hospitals, general education and special education schools, and home-based early intervention care. She now runs her own private practice in Brooklyn.

Residing in Greenpoint with her husband, Laura is deeply committed to serving the Williamsburg, Greenpoint and Long Island City communities. She also offers virtual parent guidance sessions for families beyond New York City.
